The move took place on April 21, with Nico departing in a specially designed transport crate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Standing 4.8 meters tall and known for his curiosity and appetite, Nico was born on February 5, 2020, and named to inspire smiles and happiness. During transport, he was observed calmly eating his favorite zelkova leaves.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nico will now be housed at the Izu Shaboten Zoo, where he will join national efforts to maintain the giraffe population through coordinated breeding programs.
