This May, Thailand comes to Fukuoka in a big way. As part of the Royal Thai Embassy\u2019s nationwide \u201cThai Month<\/a>\u201d campaign, the 6th Thai Festival Fukuoka will take place over two full days\u2014May 24 (Sat) and 25 (Sun)\u2014in the heart of Tenjin at Central Park\u2019s Kihinkan Hall area.<\/p>\n

Consul-General Kosol Satithamajit of the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Fukuoka and Sudaporn Woraporn, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand Fukuoka Office, introduce the highlights of Thai Festival Fukuoka.<\/em><\/p><\/div>\n

Fukuoka Now attended a press conference held on May 13 at the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Fukuoka, where Consul-General Kosol Satithamajit introduced the event\u2019s key highlights. This year\u2019s festival promises to be the largest and most dynamic yet, with 34 booths\u2014more than ever before\u2014offering Thai cuisine, drinks, crafts, tourism information, and cultural experiences.<\/p>\n

The theme for 2025 is \u201cCreative & Sustainable Tourism\u201d, a reflection of Thailand\u2019s growing focus on meaningful, responsible travel. Visitors can take part in workshops like traditional Thai keychain-making and smartphone cases crafted from Thai fabrics. On the main stage, expect authentic cultural performances from Thailand including traditional dance, puppetry, Muay Thai demonstrations, and contemporary acts.<\/p>\n

Following the recent UNESCO recognition of Tom Yum Kung as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, this year\u2019s festival will shine a spotlight on Thai cuisine. Among the culinary attractions is a special appearance by Savoey, one of Thailand\u2019s most renowned seafood restaurants.<\/p>\n

The festival also invites guests to explore Thailand\u2019s five must-do experiences: Taste, Try, Buy, Seek, and See<\/strong>\u2014all represented through interactive exhibits and tourism booths.<\/p>\n
