Located in Ch\u016b\u014d Ward, the ancient site hosted foreign envoys during the Asuka to Heian periods and is Japan\u2019s only confirmed K\u014drokan ruin. The project will reconstruct the eastern gate and surrounding walls, with over \u00a5570 million allocated this fiscal year for groundwork. The restored area will also serve as a venue for local events.
