This marks the fourth consecutive week that the prefecture has issued a public health alert. The illness, characterized by cold-like symptoms followed by red rashes on the cheeks, spreads through droplets and contact. The prefecture urges residents, especially pregnant women at higher risk of complications, to follow basic precautions such as handwashing and mask-wearing.
