Thirteen devices will be issued to officers in patrol units and Hakata police boxes. The cameras, mounted on uniforms, start recording when officers leave police boxes, with a red light signaling active recording. Footage will be used to review police conduct and secure evidence in case of disputes or crimes, and will be stored for 90 days before automatic deletion.
