The project includes constructing a new building to house a cutting-edge information engineering faculty of the University of Kitakyushu, scheduled for completion in FY2027. Rising material costs have pushed the budget to about \u00a53.9 billion, nearly double initial estimates, leaving the city and university to cover \u00a52.3 billion after subsidies.
