The man struck a 51-year-old local company employee who was walking on the sidewalk below. Both sustained serious injuries\u2014she suffered a fractured sternum and other injuries requiring about three months of recovery, while he fractured his shoulder blade\u2014but their lives were not in danger. Police said the man\u2019s wife had called shortly before the incident, reporting he might jump.
