Police said the teen fled when several dozen bystanders surrounded officers, preventing them from moving him into a patrol car. He was later re-arrested for driving without a license and disobeying a traffic signal, but the handcuffs used during the initial arrest were missing. Authorities believe the crowd had gathered in response to a social media post about a planned reckless-driving event.
