Because the two runways are close together, simultaneous operations are prohibited, limiting flights to 40 per hour\u2014only two more than before expansion. The Kyushu Economic Federation and other groups urged the transport ministry to study raising the limit to 45 flights per hour and revising noise control zones. The ministry said it would begin technical reviews promptly.
