<\/p>\nA new, internationally friendly community event has launched along the Muromi River, and everyone\u2019s invited to take part. Two teachers from Fukuoka International School, Craig Sharratt and Paula Twynham, have started a local edition of parkrun\u2014a worldwide movement built around free, weekly 5 km runs and walks open to all ages and abilities.<\/p>\n

Muromi Kahan Koen parkrun takes place every Saturday at 8:00 in the riverside park in Sawara Ward. The atmosphere is deliberately low-pressure: run, jog, walk, bring the kids, come with friends, or simply volunteer and cheer. It\u2019s all about being active, social, and outdoors together. Perfect for anyone looking for a regular weekend fitness habit and a relaxed way to meet people in English and Japanese.<\/p>\n
