The initiative began January 20 to promote local consumption and reduce emissions. The first shipment\u201424 packs of Amaou strawberries from Asakura\u2014was loaded onto a local train at Ogori Station and reached Takamiya Station in 50 minutes, then placed directly on sale at a Nishitetsu Store. Deliveries will run every Tuesday and Friday through February 20, with expansion to Kasuga City stores planned.
