The Sustainable Hydrogen Research Institute will integrate three existing hydrogen-related centers, strengthening collaboration in materials, energy systems, and fuel cell research. The new institute will launch with several dozen faculty members and build on the university\u2019s two decades of hydrogen research. While hydrogen is seen as a key next-generation energy source, challenges remain in production costs, storage, and large-scale deployment.
