In addition to the wholesale electricity market used for transactions between companies, the firm will also participate in Japan\u2019s supply-demand adjustment market, which trades grid balancing capacity. By shifting sales to markets with higher prices, the company expects trading profits to rise by about 30%. As part of the trial, Kyuden Mirai Energy began operating a battery storage system installed at the Omura Mega Solar No. 4 plant in Omura, Nagasaki Prefecture.
