The twin fairy characters, modeled after train hand straps, are intended to symbolize quietly watching over passenger safety. They were created in 2024 to commemorate the milestone. On February 5, Kurume-born creator Pantovisco, who designed the characters, hand-drew illustrations directly onto interior walls and doors of the train cars. The character-themed train is scheduled to operate on the Nishitetsu Tenjin Omuta Line, giving daily commuters and students a chance to spot the artwork during regular travel. Source: KBC News / Nishitetsu Official IG

Photo: KBC

Stay informed with the latest Fukuoka & Kyushu news and events in English.
