The center features a rare EUV-related system that uses specialized light essential for semiconductor material production and advanced research. The university plans to collaborate with a company it established to develop next-generation semiconductor technologies and reduce manufacturing costs. University President Tatsuro Ishibashi said the facility is designed not only as a research center but also as a platform linking industry, academia, and local governments to create new technologies and industrial value from Kyushu.
