The venue is part of Fukuoka City\u2019s Hakata Connected redevelopment project, which aims to strengthen activity around the station area. Around 400 guests attended the opening ceremony, where bank president Hideyuki Murakami said the hall was intended to become a place for cultural experiences and community interaction. Kabuki actor Ichikawa Danjuro XIII performed the inaugural dance, \u201cEnnen no Mai.\u201d The hall features extensive use of timber sourced from Kyushu and can accommodate up to 398 people.
