Strong spending by visitors from Taiwan, South Korea, and other overseas markets supported sales of luxury handbags, leather goods, and other personal items, helping lift average customer spending. Clothing sales increased 4.6%, the first gain in 15 months, while food and beverage sales rose 2.2% as product fairs and demand for prepared foods and confectionery remained strong.
