Highs reached 36.3C in Itoshima, 35.5C in Kurume, 35.4C in Kitakyushu\u2019s Yahatanishi Ward, and 35.3C in Fukuoka City. The rainy season ended 11 days later than last year but 11 days earlier than the seasonal average. Forecasters expect hot weather to continue throughout the coming week, with extreme heat possible in some areas.
