Mayor Soichiro Takashima said revenue would increase by about \u00a5Y33.5 billion from the previous year, driven by population growth, higher resident tax receipts, rising land values, and increased property and city planning taxes linked to condominium development. Takashima noted that annual tax revenue has grown from the \u00a5260 billion range when he took office in 2010, representing a 1.6-fold increase over 15 years.
