The proposal calls for additional greenery and public seating, along with a barrier-free building housing approximately eight food-focused tenants. Plans also include rooftop space and improved nighttime lighting and security to make the park more accessible and usable throughout the day. Design work is scheduled to begin in September 2026, followed by construction from fiscal 2027. The renewed park is targeted to open by the end of fiscal 2028.
