A former anesthesiologist, he was first elected to the assembly in 2023 and resigned on Sep. 16. NPO representative Kanta Nagasawa, 33, also held a news conference and said he would run if certain conditions were met. Nagasawa, whose organization works on forest conservation, proposed creating places in each ward where people and nature coexist and daily life can continue during disasters.
