The Iwakuni-based men, aged 26 and 21, were accused of stealing approximately 11 million yen from restaurants and other premises in Fukuoka and Tokyo last year. Prosecutors requested prison terms of four years for the older defendant and three years for the younger man. Defense lawyers sought suspended sentences, citing their admissions and efforts to compensate victims. The trial concluded that day, with judgment scheduled for Nov. 20. Source: NHK News / TNC News

Photo: NHK News

Get Fukuoka and Kyushu’s top stories delivered to your inbox.
