The ship belongs to Italian cruise company Costa Cruises and is around 253m long, with a 2,400 passenger capacity. To commemorate the ship\u2019s arrival, a ceremony was held at Hakata Port, attended by Fukuoka\u2019s governor Ogawa, and mayor Takashima. According to the Fukuoka City Port Authority, 2012 is expected to be a busy year for Hakata Port, with an estimated 78 arrivals over the course of the year, making it the most visited port in Japan.
