All foreign residents of Fukuoka have been sent a Resident Register Code Number on July 12. This 11-digit number is used to identify individuals in the nationwide Juki-Net. If you would like to receive a Juki-Net Card, please read the multilingual flyer enclosed with your notice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fukuoka History Smartphone App<\/strong><br \/>\nIn mid-July, Fukuoka City launched a smartphone app called &#8220;Fukuoka History Navi&#8221; that guides users on walking tours of the city&#8217;s cultural assets. The first installment, &#8220;Medieval Hakata&#8217;s Prosperity&#8221;, starts at Hakata Station and takes users to Jotenji, Shofukuji and Tochoji Temples as well as Kushida Shrine and Hakatamachiya Furusatokan. The second installment will guide users around the Fukuoka Castle area, and the City plans to release new courses in the future. After closing as usual at 17:00, the Zoo will reopen at 18:00. A free shuttle bus will run between the Sakurazaka and Dobutsuen-mae bus stops from 17:50 onwards, and bus riders will receive a 20% discount on admission. (The last bus leaves the zoo at 21:10.) \u25b6Every Saturday in August, 18:00~21:00 (Last admission: 20:30) \u25b6 Adults: \u00a5400 \/ HS: \u00a5200 \/ MS &amp; under: Free<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recycle Your Old Devices<\/strong><br \/>\nThe City uses collection boxes in local supermarkets and other spots to recycle the rare metals contained in small electronic devices. This August, the City will add boxes at ward office and four subway stations (Hakata, Fukuoka Airport, Nishijin and Meinohama) to boost its collection efforts. If you have any old cell phones, portable music players or other small devices, please drop them in one of the green collection boxes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>City Facility Tours<\/strong><br \/>\nFukuoka City will hold tours of three facilities to deepen understanding of city government activities. \u25b6 Mamoroom Fukuoka: A facility where you can learn about health and the environment. 2-1-34 Jigyo, Chuo-ku.
