You may have seen the popular cracker brand, which contains a half mask in its box to be put on during Hakata Niwaka performances. Edible bamboo charcoal powder and brown sugar from Okinawa are used to make the new Niwaka Senpei black, and the crackers are sold in a black box. You can purchase a box of three crackers at select shops in Fukuoka City (including JR Hakata Station and Fukuoka Airport) for \u00a5172 (incl. tax) or a three-box-set for \u00a5518 (incl. tax). A black Hakata niwaka half mask is attached to each three-box set, with some wicked local dialects written on the back of the mask.
