Nishitetsu began selling the amaou strawberry wine in Fukuoka last year as part of a new agriculture business aimed at invigorating communities along its train and bus lines. It started with a batch of 500 bottles made from non-standard strawberries and will bump production to 2,500 bottle due to popular demand. The company also announced plans to expand into Kanto, Kansai and Hong Kong in June.
