Business seminars targeting mothers, retirees, or those interested in start-ups are sometimes held on the premises, and library staff can assist in finding books and documents. There’s also a children’s library on the first floor.

Business-minded readers are sure to get a lot out of the BIZCOLI membership-based library which is organized and operated by the Kyushu Economic Research Center. Located on the 5th floor of Denki Bld. Kyosokan on Watanabe-dori, it offers various workshops which are useful for networking.

Other unique libraries include the Fukuoka City Citizen Welfare Plaza (Fuku Fuku Plaza) in Arato, Chuo-ku, and the Fukuoka City Children’s Science & Culture Center Library in Maizuru, Chuo-ku. The former has books on social welfare service, and offers reading service for the visually impaired. The latter houses books for children (ranging from kindergarten aged through senior-high students). With so much on offer, you’re sure to find a library that matches your interest and needs.
