The Center, which will seek to resolve issues face the Asia Pacific region, will be an interdisciplinary hub of various humanities-oriented departments and will be administered jointly with Stanford University in the United States. According to Kyudai, this will be Japan\u2019s first joint research center in the field of humanities with a US university. The Center will be located on Kyudai\u2019s Hakozaki Campus and will be composed of about 20 professors, including six researchers from Stanford. The Center\u2019s inaugural research topics will include trans-border issues such as yellow sand, dispute resolution, and the preservation of cultural assets damaged in conflict areas.
