Eryk writes a popular blog of the same name which explores Japanese culture and the anxieties of being an expatriate. The essays explain aspects of Japanese culture in a personal and thoughtful way. \u201cMost books about Japan can tell you how to use chopsticks or say &#8220;konnichiwa.&#8221; Few tackle the real stress of life in a radically different culture.\u201d Eryk previously contributed to Fukuoka Now, along with McSweeney&#8217;s, The Japan Times, Tofugu and Kulturaustausch.
