With discounted fares as low as \u00a54,500 one-way, the company will attempt to compete with other low-cost carriers and the Shinkansen. The new route will be StarFlyer\u2019s fifth, and it plans to offer four round-trip flights daily. The regular price will be \u00a514,000 one-way, but customers who book at least 28 days in advance can buy tickets for prices ranging from \u00a54,500 to \u00a56,000. To commemorate the new route, StarFlyer will offer a limited number of seats at \u00a51,000 until Oct. 26. The company, which will be competing directly with ANA and two other low-cost carriers, is aiming for ridership of at least 70%.
