The so-called &#8220;Kyushu Shift&#8221;\u2014the continuing transfer of auto production to Kyushu\u2014was also a factor in the increase as both Nissan Motor and Nissan Shatai shifted some production from Kanagawa to Kyushu in the summer of 2012.
