These are the second highest figures on record following peaks reached in 2008. According to a customs official, \u201cFukuoka\u2019s big, fresh strawberries are popular in Asia, especially in Hong Kong.\u201d Hong Kong accounts for more than 96% of strawberry exports, with the Taiwan Singapore and Thailand making up most of the difference.
