The new airplane will arrive in June 2013, and will be the first Airbus A320 with &#8220;sharklets&#8221; purchased in Japan. The new plane\u2019s wing resembles a shark\u2019s fin, earning it the name \u201csharklet\u201d. This wing design has the same function as a Boeing model\u2019s \u201cwinglet\u201d\u2013 reducing air resistance for improved fuel efficiency.  Starflyer currently has seven airplanes and is planning on increasing this number to 12 by 2015.
