The restaurant opted to start serving halal <em>ramen<\/em> because there are many Muslim students at the nearby Kagoshima University. After asking for guidance from local Halal businesses, the restaurant came up with a spicy <em>shoyu ramen<\/em> which uses dried noodles (rather than ones which contain alcohol).
