Details of a program offering subsidies of up to \u00a570,000\/month (for residences) and \u00a550,000\/month (for business offices) have been posted on Fukuoka City\u2019s website. The subsidies last one year. Approximately five applicants will be approved. Eligibility for the subsidies is as follows: foreign entrepreneurs who will be, or are planning to, establish a business in Fukuoka City on and after January 1st, 2016 and meet all of the following requirements are eligible for the subsidy.<\/p>\n

(1) Must acquire the \u201cBusiness Manager\u201d residential status. (Startup Visa holders also may submit an application for Startup Business Certification but must have renewed his\/her residential status to \u201cBusiness Manager\u201d to apply for the subsidy.)
\n(2) Must be intending to operate a long-term business in Fukuoka City.
\n(3) Must reside in Fukuoka City.
\n(4) Must not have unpaid national or regional taxes.<\/p>\n
