Limited to vehicles equipped with ETC cards, the cost will be \u00a56,500 for regular (“white plate”) cars and \u00a55,200 for minicars (“yellow plate”) and motorcycles. The discount is available on all expressways administered by NEXCO West. Tourist numbers have not rebounded since the Kumamoto Earthquakes, especially in hard-hit areas like Aso, so the government hopes this campaign will spur tourism throughout Kyushu.
