The rink opened on Nov. 12 and was filled with 5,000 fish that had been brought from fisheries in Kitakyushu City. Outrage occurred after rumours spread that the fish were frozen into the ice whilst still alive. Comments on Twitter included \u2018kawaisou (poor fish!)\u2019 and \u2018kimochi warui (gross!)\u2019. The rink will be defrosted and the fish removed before it reopens again next month.
