On March 17 & 18, the largest Kurume Kasuri event of the year in which 26 manufacturers and wholesalers came together under one roof to offer a wide collection of Kurume kasuri<\/em> products, including clothes, accessories, as well as fabric. Fans of this widely admired textile enjoyed browsing the booths and comparing the various designs and forms of Kurume kasuri<\/em>. Another highlight of the two-day event was the fashion show which showcased the fabrics in a wide range of contemporary fashions for all ages. At workshops, visitors could try their hands and craft making with the textile. English, Chinese and Korean interpreters were on hand to provide explanation to visitors from overseas.
