Fukuoka might be best known for its ramen, but it\u2019s also home to a growing number of burger specialty shops. And now we have one more, as the Nakameguro, Tokyo based Golden Brown, (selected one of the \u201cBest 50 restaurants 2020\u201d by the UK based Monocle magazine opens today in Tenjin. Located on the third floor of the new Caitac Square Garden, there\u2019s seating for 43 inside and more at tables on the patio with a view of the city.<\/p>\n

The signature dish is the shop\u2019s namesake, Golden Brown Hamburger (\u00a51,650). Made with 100% custom-medium ground beef spiced with nutmeg and pepper and dressed in an original onion saute, then layered with Dutch smoked cheese and mushrooms and served on a golden brown toasted bun that is full but neither too heavy nor light. Attention to detail is everywhere, but in the end, it\u2019s simply a beautifully balanced burger. Each ingredient can be tasted in every bite.<\/p>\n

The menu offers twenty kinds of burgers, including fish and a veggie burger, and all come with a decent portion of your choice of french fries or a green salad, and for an extra \u00a550, you can upgrade that to their tasty onion rings. All items are available for take-out. Maybe enjoy a burger while watching a movie at the Kino Cinema on the third floor of Caitac Square Garden.<\/p>\n
