Hachibei, one of Fukuoka\u2019s best-known group of yakitori<\/em> restaurants with locations in Tokyo\u2019s Roppongi Hills and Honolulu, actually began in Maebaru, Itoshima. While decidedly more casual than their urban locations, the Maebaru branch is still a place to enjoy a wide variety of charcoal-grilled skewers. On June 1st, 2021, they opened a take-out-only fried chicken specialty shop right next door.<\/p>\n
