These new donuts require no guilt, and were created in response to more health-conscious customers wanting donuts which fitted their vegan, exercise-filled lifestyles. <\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/fukuoka-now.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/canezees-vegan-2015-003-e1444367844442.jpg?resize=640%2C427\" alt=\"canezees vegan 2015 003\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66641\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/fukuoka-now.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/canezees-vegan-2015-004-e1444367855516.jpg?resize=640%2C427\" alt=\"canezees vegan 2015 004\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66642\" \/><\/p>\n<p>With these specifications in mind, the Canezees team got to work. They used a combination of coconut oil, sesame oil, <em>daizu<\/em> powder, <em>mochi kome<\/em>, and Fukuoka Prefecture wheat flour, and &#8211; as always &#8211; they did not add any white sugar, butter or eggs. After some experimentation, they came up with four flavours: fruit &#038; nuts, <em>matcha<\/em>, cocoa, and good ol\u2019 fashioned plain. <\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/fukuoka-now.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/canezees-vegan-2015-005-e1444367869730.jpg?resize=640%2C427\" alt=\"canezees vegan 2015 005\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66643\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/fukuoka-now.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/canezees-vegan-2015-006-e1444367881913.jpg?resize=640%2C427\" alt=\"canezees vegan 2015 006\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66644\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The resulting donuts are slightly denser and cakier than the norm, designed to be scrummy sources of energy. The fruit &#038; nuts in particular is like a tasty powerbar, incorporating walnut, cranberries and mango &#8211; a great reward for working up a sweat at the gym. The plain was perhaps the most admired in the office: it is one of the sweeter donuts in this new range, whilst remaining far more filling than a standard donut. <\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/fukuoka-now.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/canezees-vegan-2015-008-e1444367901899.jpg?resize=640%2C426\" alt=\"canezees vegan 2015 008\" width=\"640\" height=\"426\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66646\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/fukuoka-now.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/canezees-vegan-2015-009-e1444367913527.jpg?resize=640%2C426\" alt=\"canezees vegan 2015 009\" width=\"640\" height=\"426\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66647\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We recommend warming your vegan donut in the microwave for a couple of seconds (that\u2019s all it needs), and\/or enjoying it with a nice cup of tea or coffee. And, whereas normal donuts really need to be consumed on the day for peak deliciousness, these donuts can survive a good five days.
