The 87-min. long film follows the stories of five mixed-Japanese living in Japan. The screening will be followed by an open discussion session.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Fukuoka Now opened a simple poll about the mixed-race community of Japan. Below, we have selected six comments from the 19 received.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Comments:<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>&#8220;Nobody is half a person. Mixed-culture children are better caller nibai (\uff12\u500d\u3001double) as some already call themselves.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;\u300c\u30cf\u30fc\u30d5\u300d\u3068\u3044\u3046\u8a00\u8449\u306b\u5f15\u3063\u304b\u304b\u308a\u3092\u611f\u3058\u308b\u7406\u7531\u306f\u3001\u3084\u3063\u3071\u308a\u300c\u534a\u5206\u300d\u53c8\u306f\u300c\u5b8c\u5168\u3058\u3083\u306a\u3044\u300d\u3068\u3044\u3046\u30cb\u30e5\u30a2\u30f3\u30b9\u304c\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3059\u304b\u3089\u3002While I understand where the term &#8220;half&#8221; comes from, to me calling a person half implies not being whole, never quite here or there.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Being born from a mixed race doesn&#8217;t make any person less of a human. In fact, he\/she may even have the best of both worlds. The person that he\/she becomes is dependent on the society that surrounds him\/her.
