An oasis amid the bustle of the city, Ishidobashi Shiratsugu is a cozy Japanese restaurant nestled amongst the temples in a district not far from Hakata Station. The youthful owner, Shiratsugu, opened his shop in Fukuoka eight years ago after honing his culinary chops in Tokyo, Kyoto and Australia. His primary focus is on local ingredients: he visits the markets every morning to select fresh fish and produce. Shiratsugu offers carefully prepared seasonal delights, giving you the full washoku<\/em> (Japanese cuisine) experience from the time you sit down until your last cup of green tea. New to washoku<\/em>? We recommend the weekday lunch menu consisting of four appetizers plus rice, miso<\/em> soup and your choice of main. The whole menu costs only \u00a51,800 if you choose tempura<\/em> and is meant to be finished in about an hour. If you are looking for something a little more elaborate, you can choose a dinner course based on your budget and preferences.
