Cleaning Day is a recycling event that began in Finland in 2012. The initiative was launched in Japan in 2014, and this year the festival returns to Fukuoka for the six time. In order to promote upcycling, which is the concept of adding new value to recycled items, upcycling workshops will be held and upcycled items will be on sale. There will also be a market where upcycled goods such as bags and wrapping paper, as well as coffee equipment will be on sale. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own shopping bags!
