It’s sometimes said that opposites attract, and that seems to be case for Kyushu and Hokkaido. The “Hokkaido Winter Food Exhibit” began yesterday and runs until Tuesday, Nov. 14, so if you also love those delicacies from northern Japan, hurry over to the 8th floor of the Hankyu Department Store in Hakata. Fukuoka Now took a spin through the fair and here are some snapshots to whet your appetite. Of note this year were the seafood bento (box lunches). In addition to the usual mixed seafood variety, this year they have bento with just crab (or just uni, etc.) Equally tempting were the natural cheeses, frozen desserts, roasted corn, cantaloupe soft cream, craft beer, fresh whole crab, Hokkaido beef bento and more!
