A self-proclaimed “sonic adventurer”, Warren’s earliest musical memories come from church singing. His father played guitar and his brother, trumpet; Warren plays both—and he sings, too! He’s the lead singer of the local band Cut Flowers, and a popular performer at weddings. He’s also the organizer behind “The Basement”, a monthly showcase of local international musical talent held on the last Tuesday of each month at Early Believers. It’s a great venue for musicians to meet each other and for live music fans to catch a variety of acts. Warren, Jon Wilks and Dave Borgeson have created a record label, Afronaut Records, and have just released the debut album of Nanbanjin, an international band from Oita. 音楽との出会いは教会の聖歌隊。父はギター、兄弟はトランペットを弾く音楽一家に育ち、彼自身もギターやトランペットの演奏はもちろん、根っからのシンガーだ。地元バンド「カットフラワーズ」のリードボーカルで、結婚式でも人気のパフォーマー。また月に一度、地元にいる海外からのミュージシャンたちを紹介するイベント「ザ・ベースメント」の主催者としても活躍する。ちなみにこのイベントは、毎月最終週の火曜日に親冨孝「アーリービリーバーズ」にて開催されている。そこはミュージシャンたちの出会いの場でもあり、さらにライブ好きファンたちには格好の情報交換の場でもあるのだ。そんなウォーレンは仲間のジョン・ウィルクス、デイブ・ボーゲソンと共に, Afronaut Recordsというレコードレーベルを立ち上げ、最近大分のインターナショナルバンド「南蛮人」のデビューアルバムをリリースしたばかり！ warren@afronautrecords.com
