Bottles of Beniotome featuring a manga illustration on its label are selling well. Beniotome Shuzo Co., Ltd, a traditional shochu distillery in Kurume City, first shipped out its eye-catching bottles of sesame shochu in May. Collaborating with manga artist Hisashi Eguchi, the label was designed to attract the attention of young people who are not familiar with shochu.
