Bridgestone Corporation is planning to purchase a fourteen-hectare land next to its factory in Kitakyushu City. The company announced on May 20 that it will expand the capacity of its factory, which currently produces 165 tons of radial tires daily. A provisional agreement was made between Bridgestone and Kitakyushu City on Mar 29 and the official contract will be made after the plan will pass the city’s assembly in June.
