A Poplar convenience store with a standing bar inside opened in Hakata Ekimae on Mar. 6. The retro-styled bar, Osake No Bijutsukan (Museum of Liqueurs) serves approximately 250 kinds of drinks including casual cocktails and aged whiskeys with prices per glass varying from ¥500 to ¥5,000. While sipping on beverages, customers can bring in their favorite snacks and deli from the adjoining Poplar shop and pay upon checking out. This is the first bar in Japan to operate inside a convenience store. The bar is open between 15:00~24:00. Source: Poplar Co., Ltd., 3/4/2019
