Daimaru Fukuoka Tenjin to Undergo Renovation

Daimaru Fukuoka Tenjin is planning to undertake a multi-billion yen renovation, which will start in 2019 and last for three years. The refurbishment will focus on the women’s fashion section of the department store. A special project called Kyushu Expedition will also be held to celebrate the company’s 65th anniversary. The event will be run in collaboration with local governments and aims to share the appeal of the area with visitors. The facility is also planning on developing a multilingual guide, as well as a smartphone app called AI Concierge in order to respond to the increasing number of international tourist shoppers using their premises.
